ABCDS Oversight Initiative Committee Chair, Dr. Eric Poon, will represent Duke at the upcoming HIMSS 2026 Annual Conference. Algorithm-Based Clinical Decision Support (ABCDS) Oversight is the flagship initiative of the Duke Health AI Evaluation & Governance Program.
As HIMSS 2026 approaches, the program is also reflecting on its collaboration with Avanade to develop SAIGE (Smart AI Governance Engine), an important step toward advancing responsible AI in healthcare. Built on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric, SAIGE enables healthcare organizations to deploy AI with transparency, traceability, and cross-institution collaboration at the center.
The platform offers a scalable model for AI governance, helping organizations of all sizes implement AI responsibly while advancing patient care.
