Duke Health’s Nicoleta Economou, PhD, recently presented Duke’s Algorithm-Based Clinical Decision Support (ABCDS) Oversight framework at DECODE, an international European Union- and Horizon 2020-funded training program for postgraduate students at the National University of Athens, Greece. Through this training program, Duke raised awareness in the international community about the importance of algorithmic oversight for the safe, effective, equitable, and fair deployment of health AI tools. The project beneficiaries include high-profile institutions around the world such as the US, France, Italy, Poland, Greece, and others, with the aim to build a multidisciplinary community of international scholars who are pioneers in their field.
