Duke Health’s Nicoleta Economou, PhD, has been appointed Director of the Algorithm-Based Clinical Decision Support (ABCDS) Oversight Initiative. With over eight years of experience in clinical analytics, Dr. Economou played a pivotal role in establishing the ABCDS Oversight Framework at Duke. In her new role, she will lead strategic initiatives for Duke AI Health and Duke Health, focusing on the governance, evaluation, and monitoring of healthcare algorithms and strengthening Duke's national leadership in responsible AI for healthcare.
