Nancy Walden, BS, is the Evaluation Program Leader for the Duke Health AI Evaluation & Governance (E&G) Program. Ms. Walden leads program management activities of the Duke Health AI E&G program as well as other relevant strategic projects, including the health AI maturity model project with VUMC.

Ms. Walden has over 20 years of experience designing and implementing software solutions from strategic product and feature roadmaps through the software development lifecycle. She has led teams of software engineers, systems architects, and data scientists in building technology products that directly enhance health research at Duke. Previously, Ms. Walden managed the design and implementation of projects at Duke’s Office of Academic Solutions and Information Systems (OASIS), including PACE, a protected environment for research, and she managed the design and implementation of an electronic system for Duke Health IRB ethics review. Ms. Walden graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in mathematical sciences.
