Sophia Bessias, MPH, MSA, recently presented at the AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting. Her poster highlighted Duke Health’s pioneering efforts in incorporating generative AI within its AI Evaluation & Governance (E&G) Program. Bessias’s work addresses the crucial need for robust governance frameworks in the rapidly advancing field of health AI. Duke Health AI E&G and CTSI have established a partnership to help translate large language models research to ensure that advanced AI solutions are implemented responsibly, enhancing clinical care and patient outcomes while adhering to regulatory standards and maintaining public trust.
